Carbon Diamond FAQs

They are sustainable, ethical, and budget-friendly! Even a Jeweler looking at the Lab-Grown Diamond under magnification, can not distinguish it from an earth-grown Diamond.

Lab-Grown Diamonds are true Diamonds, not simulants like Cubic Zirconias. They are visually identical, and equally durable. The machinery, materials, and skilled staff required for manufacturing are expensive. With all that goes into a Lab-Grown Diamond they are still affordable.

The cost varies based on the color and quality of the Diamond, but a 1 carat (loose) diamond costs around $2,800. A similar mined diamond costs approximately $5000. That means that a lab grown diamond is 44% less for a stone that is identical in terms of look, feel, and durability.

You will not get 100% of your cost when selling a pre owned Diamond. You’ll have to sell at the same kind of discount that you would with a mined diamond. Sometimes you can trade in a pre owned Diamond towards a new stone or piece of jewelry.

Lab grown and mined diamonds are identical in terms of look and durability. They are identical–even under magnification. They have the same physical, chemical, and optical qualities.

Above-Ground Diamonds refers to Diamonds created in a lab. They are also called man made, cultured, created, or synthetic. Conversely, Diamonds that are mined from the earth, are referred to as below-ground Diamonds or mined Diamonds.
